Who is behind Laayo
Laayo was started by Sakshyam Baral, a software developer from Birtamod, to make food delivery outside the valley work properly: one platform, run by one team, owning every order from the kitchen to the door. The first orders went out in Birtamod in January 2026, Damak followed in August 2026, and Kathmandu is next.
Every part of Laayo is built in-house in Nepal: the customer app, the restaurant app and POS, the rider app with live GPS, the operations centre and the support desk.

What does Laayo charge restaurants?
Laayo charges one all-inclusive commission per delivered order. There is no setup fee, no monthly fee, no tablet rent and no ad bill. Delivery, marketing, menu setup, the restaurant app and your account manager are included. Call 9707055875 for the rate.
How and when does Laayo pay restaurants?
Every evening at 9:15 PM Laayo adds up the day's delivered orders, less commission, and pays it to your bank, eSewa or Fonepay. You get an SMS, an email statement and a confirmation call for each payout, and cash orders reach you in the same payout because the rider collects the cash.
Is Laayo a registered company?
Yes. Laayo is run by Laayo Services Pvt. Ltd. (PAN 623551868), with its head office in Tokha, Kathmandu, and branches in Birtamod and Damak, Jhapa. It was founded by Sakshyam Baral.
Do I have to leave other delivery apps to join Laayo?
No. There is no exclusivity. You can run Laayo alongside any other app, and pause your store or leave at any time. There is no lock-in and nothing to pay back.
How long does it take to start selling on Laayo?
About 48 hours from signing. Laayo's team builds your menu, prices and opening hours, sets up the restaurant app and trains your staff.
Who delivers the orders?
Laayo's own managed riders. Orders go to the nearest available rider, and if something goes wrong with a delivery, Laayo answers for it, not your restaurant.
Is Laayo available in Kathmandu?
Laayo is launching in Kathmandu in early 2027 and is signing up restaurants now. Today it delivers in Birtamod, Damak and the rest of Central Jhapa.
